Gamache is one of my all-time favorite fictional characters for his humanity.
Peace and comfort are things I seem to wish for others but I agree – until those in need of these find courage to persevere, these may remain mere wishes. So happy when I find kernels of wisdom like these.

Comfort can simply be being brave and being true to yourself- that can demand courage if it means differing from others
